Searching and Filtering Payments

How to search, filter, and export your payment data in the merchant portal

Updated over 3 months ago

Payments List Overview

The Payments menu gives you access to a near real-time list of all transactions. You can:

  • Search by various criteria

  • Apply filters to narrow your results

  • Export the data to an XLSX or CSV file for further analysis

Use this feature to generate detailed reports, review customer activity, and track payment performance.

Using Filters

You can apply multiple filters to focus on specific payments. Available filters include:

  • Currency

  • Processing account

  • Card type

  • Payment status

Example: To view all refunded Visa payments in euros from the past month, simply apply the relevant filters. Once the list is generated, click XLSX EXPORT or CSV EXPORT to download the data.

Searching for Payments

You can search for individual payments using a variety of fields. Enter your keyword in the search bar or use the dedicated field for customer information.

Searchable fields include:

  • Order reference

  • Payment reference

  • Status

  • Email

  • Cardholder name

  • STAN

  • Merchant name

  • Currency

  • Date

  • Card

  • Card type

  • Dispute

  • Dispute date

  • Fraudulent

  • Payment type

  • Authorisation code

Tip: Combine search terms with filters to narrow your results further. For example, find all settled payments for a specific customer.

Advanced Search

If basic search doesn’t return the result you need, click ADVANCED SEARCH to access additional options.

In advanced search, you can search using:

  • STAN

  • Payment reference

  • Order reference

  • Email

  • Authorisation code

You can also:

  • Combine advanced search fields with filters like status, payment date, or payment type

  • Paste multiple values into the SEARCH MULTIPLE VALUES field to search many references at once (e.g., 52485, 56358, 54268)

Quick Filters

On both the Payments List and Payment Details pages, you can instantly filter by:

  • IP address

  • Email address

  • Cardholder name

Clicking any of these values reveals all transactions linked to that data point. This helps you:

  • Identify customer behaviour patterns

  • Detect suspicious activity (e.g., multiple payment attempts in a short time)

  • Take action if needed, such as voiding or refunding a payment

Exporting Reports

You can export the results of any search or filtered list into an XLSX or CSV file.

Exported reports include detailed data such as:

  • Transaction statuses

  • Success rates

  • Total sales amounts

  • Daily or weekly payment trends

  • Issuer or shopper country breakdowns

Note: The report also includes failed payments with reason codes, allowing you to investigate and improve payment success rates.

Summary

Use the Payments menu to:

  • Search and filter transactions in detail

  • Quickly identify customer behavior or suspicious patterns

  • Export rich data for deeper analysis and reporting

Regularly reviewing and exporting this data can help you optimize payment performance and reduce failed transactions.
